It’s always fun to see friends from around the country when we gather at these amazing events! This series of shows is so well-run with a strong panel of judges. Thank you to all who have made this series possible with their hard work! We are so very blessed! KBPride had a terrific week in Florida with our youngsters gaining good ring experience under Laura King and Robin Novack’s skilled guidance. Thank you Team Daybreak!

BIG APPLE DEBUT: The New York series of Shows in February was a marvelous opportunity for our KBPride puppies, their debut in the Big Apple! The Progressive Dog show BOB title went to Ernie, Jolainey Touch of Evan, bred by Debbie Coole. KBPride Rattlebridge Fergus was right on Ernie’s heels with the Winners Dog title.
MEADOWLANDS SPECIALTY SHOW was also a sweet showing for KBPride in that Fergus, KBPride Rattlebridge Fergus, dazzled Judge Joan Scott who granted him the Best in Sweepstakes title. What an honor! Thank you Judge Scott!
Judge Luc Boileau awarded our darling little Chloe, KBPride LaPerle, the Select Bitch title and our young boy, KBPride Scottish Warrior’s Wise Lion, aka Zazu, the title of Best of Opposite Sex Puppy. We thank both Joan Scott and Luc Boileau for appreciating the qualities of our home bred puppies.
WESTMINSTER: The highlight of the Big Apple experience was, of course, Westminster. What an honor it has been to be at Westminster each year since 2013. In 2013, our Kingsley, GCHP CH We-Syng Royal Etiquette, then rated #1 Cavalier all systems, made his cuts but did not place. In 2014, our gorgeous boy, Kinvaar Make Pretend, then ranked #4 Cavalier all systems, received an Award of Merit.
In 2016, glamor girl Gabby, Wandris Buttons and Bows, was awarded the coveted Best of Opposite Sex Award.
More recently, our home bred girl, Olivia, aka KBPride Etiquettes Royal Maiden, made her cuts, our two entries, Ernie (Jolainey Touch of Evan bred by Debbie Coole) and our home bred girl, Chloe, KBPride La Perle, both received ribbons! What an honor!
We are so grateful to Judge Elizabeth Sweigart who awarded our sweet Ernie an Award of Merit and our beautiful Chloe the title of Select Bitch. I am so pleased that I was able to be there to witness these wins!
SPECIAL THANKS: You’ll notice that in all of the previous text, the emphasis is on the dogs. While my very patient husband, Tom, and I rear these sweet puppies together, we could not achieve the success in the ring that we have enjoyed without our more than incredibly professional handlers, Laura King and Robin Novack. These women are absolutely the best. They keep our dogs healthy and happy, while teaching them ring presence and confidence.
It takes a Village to bring out the best in the best that KBPride has to offer. We are grateful to share our experiences with our team members and also our puppy owners, who enjoy the best love and affection available from these affectionate and beautiful puppies.
Chloe and Ernie had great success in Norman, Oklahoma at the May, 2016 AKC Cavalier King Charles Spaniel National Dog Show.
Chloe, KBPride La Perle, was awarded Best in Sweepstakes Winner and Reserve Winner’s Bitch. The lovely tricolor girl, Tasset Sweet Rosie KBPride (bred by Ann Hall of the United Kingdon), aka Rosie, was awarded Best Puppy in Show. She was joined by her home-bred brother, KBPride Rattlebridge Fergus, aka Fergus, for BOS Puppy.
Ernie, Jolainey Touch of Evan, won the Open Blenheim Dog Class and was then awarded Winners Dog and an Award of Merit. Both Chloe and Ernie showed their ‘socks off’ for Judge Ray Paterson! Thank you to Judge Paterson for appreciating our KBPride kids during the National competition.
Following the National, Ernie also won BOB at the Regional Specialty show. All in all, the grouping of shows in Norman, Oklahoma was very good to KBPride!
